Unlocking finance to scale carbon removals – what it could look like in practice

Durable carbon removals need to be at the gigatonne scale per year by 2030 to reach net zero by mid-century. Today, we remove less than a million tonnes a year, relying on voluntary corporate buyers, early-stage venture capital and a few grants. To scale up we need to unlock mainstream financing. In this session, we look at how that might look in practice.
