Carbon Removals: What Goes Up Must Come down
About
According to the IPCC, carbon removals are now “unavoidable” and must be done quickly at scale. How can we ensure that they are never an excuse for business as usual in fossil fuels or delaying deep decarbonisation, but instead enable us to increase climate ambition and bring climate justice to underserved communities? In this session we discuss how setting a separate target for carbon removals could be a game-changer for achieving all of these goals.
