Catalyzing Investment in Responsible Ocean Climate Solutions

When paired with extensive emissions reductions, carbon dioxide removal (CDR) is key to meet climate goals. To do so, CDR must scale 30 times its present capacity by 2030. The event will highlight US CDR leadership including investments of close to $1.5 billion USD in 2023 for novel strategies, including marine CDR. Given the transboundary nature of mCDR, sustained global engagement is vital to the field. Therefore this event will also invite global south nations to speak to the mCDR field.
