A Look Forward: The Indigenous Greenhouse Gas Removal Commission
In January 2024 the newly formed Indigenous Greenhouse Gas Removal Coalition will formally launch. This new initiative, an extension of Global Ocean Health's Building Tribal Leadership in Carbon Removal Program, aims to place tribal communities throughout North America in leadership and decision-making positions to realize diverse, equitable and safe carbon removal projects that local generate value and opportunity.
